Microsoft Windows is a series of software operating systems and graphical user interfaces produced by Microsoft. Microsoft first introduced an operating environment named Windows in November 1985 as an add-on to MS-DOS in response to the growing interest in graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Microsoft Windows came to dominate the world’s personal computer market, overtaking Mac OS, which had been introduced previously. As of July 2009, Windows had approximately 93% of the market share of the client operating systems for usage on the Internet. The most recent client version of Windows is Windows Vista; the most recent server version is Windows Server 2008. Vista’s successor, Windows 7, is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2009. Mac OS X is a line of computer operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc., and since 2002 has been included with all new Macintosh computer systems. It is the successor to Mac OS 9, the final release of the “classic” Mac OS, which had been Apple’s primary operating system since 1984. Mac OS X, whose “X” represents the Roman numeral for “10″ and is a prominent part of its brand identity, is a Unix-based operating system, built on technologies developed at NeXT between the second half of the 1980s and Apple’s purchase of the company in late 1996. Its sixth release Mac OS X v10.5 “Leopard” gained UNIX 03 certification while running on Intel processors. Linux is predominantly known for its use in servers, although can be installed on a wide variety of computer hardware, ranging from embedded devices , mobile phones and even some watches to supercomputers. Linux distributions, installed on both desktop and laptop computers, have become increasingly commonplace in recent years, partly owing to the popular Ubuntu distribution and the emergence of netbooks.

Intel’s new DX38BT takes over from the BadAxe 2 D975XBX2 as the king of the Extreme Series line of motherboards. As the model code suggests the DX38BT uses Intels’s own X38 chipset, which supports the latest 45nm Penryn CPUs. The Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers have started to release BIOS updates that add support for a 1,600MHz front side bus to their X38 models along with support for 1,600MHz DDR3 memory. The problem is that the 1,600MHz front side bus requires unofficial support that takes the X38 into the same territory as the X48 so Intel is unlikely to go down this route with the result that it’s latest and greatest motherboard, the DX38BT, doesn’t support its latest and greatest processor, the QX9770. This gives you a strong hint about the capabilities of the DX38BT. After all, you only need loads of cooling if you expect the chipset will be generating excessive heat and in the case of an Intel chipset that only happens when you’re overclocking. The DX38BT isn’t a success in the overclocking department so you don’t need anything more than the two passive coolers that Intel supplies however there are a few noteworthy points about the hardware. The Northbridge cooler is secured to a heat spreader on the underside of the motherboard with four stout screws instead of the usual feeble plastic pop pins. Second, Intel supplies a bizarre stick-on cap for the Southbridge cooler that carries a cartoon of a skull as a nod to the DX38BT’s codename of BoneTrail and the logo is also printed on the board. What are your favorite types of web video?

My favorite types of web videos are music videos, parody, comedy, or funny type videos, and instructional videos that could help me learn how to do something that I don’t know. Whenever I look up videos on Youtube or google, I would try to find music videos first. I love listening to music and the famous artists that sing them. I would think of songs that I hear in the radio, on my friends phone, or from stores that play it softly for shoppers, and I search for them on Youtube so I can listen to them. Some videos would have lyrics and I would always try to look for videos with them first. Parody and comedy videos are always the videos I look up first whenever I’m really bored and just need a good laugh. I like watching main stream comedy videos that people would cut from television shows and post for our entertainment, like Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, and Jeff Dunham. I like instructional videos too because whenever I don’t know how to make something that I really want to make, I just search for it on either Youtube or Google. These are my favorite types videos because they satisfy my need for music, laughter, and instructions.

How does technology affect me?

Technology affects my life in many ways. Technology is all around me and everyone else. I see technology almost everywhere I go. From the city of any town to the village of any third world country, technology is there. The most important piece of technology that affects my life most is my cell phone. Without a cell phone, there would be repeated times that I would worry my parents, not be able to go home, or contact anyone at all. Another important piece of technology that would be hard to live without is my computer. I spend a lot of time on it and do so much while I’m on. I have found old friends and made new ones, thanks to having computer. A car is important to not mainly me, but my entire family. Owning a car has made our lives much more convenient and so much easier as well. More than half of the world runs with technology and continues to progress with it. Many things have been made, thanks to technology. The future will be filled with technology and life around everyone will be much more relaxed. I’m sure that technology is the world’s greatest idea.
